Okay, so I’ve got my MANLY green tea and honey, I got HNIC up on the telly on mute and everything seems to be working fine. Not missing the first period this time around.

WAUGH and Walsky are both scratched. Can’t blame Walsky as no matter how much razzle dazzle you’re showing, it doesn’t matter if you can’t produce on the scoresheet. Sucks that horrible doody head Mathieu Schneider is forcing WAUGH to sit.

Schneider getting back to back starts tonight. Good, I thought he looked awesome against the Bears last night.

Moose looking to avenge last night’s shootout loss and get a bit of revenge against the Bears, who beat them in the Calder Cup finals last season. Bears are also looking to earn a franchise best 12 straight wins in a row. Lots of motivation for the Antlered Ones.

Good start, some solid possession by the Moose. Schneider with a shot on net and an attempted redirect by Grabner.

Jimmy Sharrow already in the lineup after getting signed yesterday. Dunno where he was before, but man, the hectic schedule guys in the ECHL/AHL have is insane.

Ooh, looks like Maxwell just got lowbridged by a Hershey player. Ick.

Bliznak carries the puck in and dishes it off to his winger, going straight to the net. Karl Alzner (didn’t hear his name much last night, hu?) takes a hooking call on Bliznak and the Moose are on the powerplay.

Ugh, Hershey PK continues to be very good, as they get SET UP and get a couple shots on the Moose net. C’mon Moose, you’re better than this.

Penalty half over and the Moose have yet to get set up or get a shot off. This is getting really frustrating, Moose cannot get anything going here.

Penalty over and nothing really done by the Moose on the powerplay.

Haha, announcer: “If you’re anyone in a Bengals uniform, you feel shame.” I might have to save that one for later tonight, depending on how things go.

Shirokov with a nice hit up against the boards. Nowhere near the likes of say, Ohlund’s old hits, but still, nice to see him playing physical.

Moose doing a better job at limiting the Bears tonight, thought they were giving them too much room last night.

Unfortunately, they aren’t doing a whole heck of a lot in the offensive zone when they manage to gain the zone, outside of that start at the beginning of the first.

Dusty Collins and LABRIE with the best chance of the game so far with a stunted 2 on 1. Nothing doing.

Ugh. Andrew Gordon completely blows past Mathieu Schneider and roofs it past Schneider, putting them up 1-0. That whole play was horrible and Schneider looked brutal.

Things looking like they might get ugly. Scramble in front of the crease as the Moose stand around looking at the puck.

OOH. Maxwell catches Amadio in the face with his skate. He looks like he’s okay, no blood or anything serious, getting attended to on the bench.

Bliznak with a nice steal in deep, leading to a shot on net for the Moose. MORE OF THIS, PLEASE.

Moose starting to intercept some more passes. Good, Hershey seems to love those long stretch passes and they haven’t been much of anything. Ellington with a nice steal, standing up his man, but goes offside.

I seriously think this is the first time I’ve noticed Ellington in this game or the prior one.

One timer from John Carlson and Schneider with a great save. Hershey announcer giving Cory some love, saying he’s the ‘real deal’ and ‘NHL ready.’ Nice to see opposing team guys giving the Moose some love.

Schneider jumps up and attempts to shoot the puck, almost resulting in a 2 on 1. Inexplicably, he goes straight over to the man with the puck rather than taking his man. I am trying to be open minded here, but that’s 3 major boo boos from Schneider so far in 2 games, resulting in a penalty shot and a goal against. He may have logged a crapton of time last night, but…

Bliznak with a nice shot, forcing Holtby to be sharp. Best chance from the Moose so far, which just about does it for the first period.

Keith Aucoin gets dinged with hooking with 1.4 seconds left to go in the first period. Moose will enjoy a 1:59 powerplay on fresh ice in the second period.

Second Period

Moose set up for this powerplay, progress! They even get a shot off on goal! Even better.

Some good possession from the Moose on that powerplay, but nothing doing, as they go 0 for 2.

Bears all over the Moose now. Shirokov with a hooking call, I think, Bears pulling the goalie and pressuring hard.

It was slashing. Bears to the PP. Big kill for the Moose now.

Bears draw a tripping call now, Bliznak goes to sit and the Bears are now 5 on 3. This is embarassing.

Cory Schneider is the only reason this game is 1-0. Bears really having their way with the Bears.

Bears going with FIVE forwards on the PK. Yeah, they aren’t feeling threatened by the Moose at all.

One penalty is killed and Shirkov is on. Gets the feed and is sprung. OH HERSHEY, this is what hubris does to you. 1-1 tie game from Shirokov, with a feed from Keane.

“Bears looking to go Riverboat Gambler and it didn’t pay off.” Awesome for calling it as it is. I know I haven’t said much about him, but this guy is doing a great job of calling the game.

Manitoba coming back now with some signs of life, Grabner slapshot from the top circle, Holtby has to look sharp.

Ringy_ on Twitter just tweeted: ‘You have no idea how hard Maxwell is trying to get a fight going.’ Would love to see a tilt, as they could use that kind of spark.

Bliznak and Keane work well together (heck, I think Keane and ANYONE look well together), Keane with a nice feed to Bliznak who snuck behind the defenders. Bliznak draws a penalty, who is having a really good game tonight.

Moose to the their third PP attempt tonight.

Ugh, another attempt shorthanded from the Bears. Moose PP looking like more of the same so far tonight: junk.

Moose finally get set up and get some pressure…until Schneider bobbles the puck at the blueline. Okay, now I’m just being mean re: Mathieu Schneider.

Penalty over and physical pace picks up as Murray and Collins dish out some hits. Bears respond with some checks of their own.

February 5th is CORY SCHNEIDER bobblehead night. Oh man, I kind of, sort of want to try and find a way out to the MTS Center.

Bears crash the crease and get a goalie interference call. Moose with yet another PP.

Rosa and Desbiens come into the zone with a great chance on Holtby. He continues to be impressive, denying them. Boo.

Bears ‘accidentally’ knock the net off its moorings as Matt Pettinger gets a golden chance. No delay of game call. Hmm.

Moose crowding the crease with Mario Bliznak leading the way. Scrappy guy. Yeah, he’s having a good game tonight.

Moose starting to assert themselves now, with the second period almost over. Would’ve been great to have seen this a little earlier tonight.

DESBIENS skating well and feeds the puck to Marco Rosa who surfs in and puts the Moose up 2-1! Great play and man am I glad to see this so far. 4:26 left to go in the second now.

Ugh, but nothing’s ever easy, as Rosa gets called for hooking. Bears looking for the equalizer now.

Moose PK looking really well, Bliznak with some great stickchecking on the PK.

Moose kill the penalty and Rosa gets sprung coming out of the penalty box. Continuing their late second period gameplan, the Moose continue to barrel into Holtby and the net gets knocked over again.

Cory Schneider must be jubilant that his team has decided to wake up. They’re really skating well now.

Ooh, centering feed for Karl Alzner right on Schneider’s front stoop, but Cory is there to make the save.

That does it for the second period.

Third Period

Just a heads up, the Canucks game is about to start and comments are going to be sparse for the third. I’ll do my best to catch everything significant, though!

Hershey ties up the game after a defensive breakdown. Unfortunately didn’t catch names, tie game.

Missing a ton of action thanks to the Canucks game.

Moose to the powerplay as Moose have too many men. Here’s hoping they can convert here.

Mathieu Schneider with ANOTHER brainfart, allowing Gordon to skate in and have a golden opportunity.

ANOTHER turnover. Get this guy off the ice. Now.

Matthew Perreault looks like he may have banged up his knee. Doesn’t look good.

Baumgartner coughs up the puck and leads to a chance for Keith Aucoin. Schneider bails him out. Man, the veterans haven’t been having a good night tonight.

Some nice late period action here. Sharrow with a shot leads to a slight scramble.

Oh man. Baumgartner with another gaffe, this time it ends up being a really bad one as Kyle Wilson capitalizes putting the Bears up 3-2 with 3 minutes remaining.

Boyd Kane just got ejected for talking back to the officials. Late third period chance for heroics for the Moose.

Goalie is yanked and the Moose are 6 on 4 for the rest of the third. Nothing doing so far…

Mathieu Schneider apparently wants to be the hero. As soon as he gets the puck he shoots. Then shoots again. And again. Doesn’t matter if there’s a screen or anyone in front available to tip.

HOLY CROW! ANOTHER penalty for the Bears. The third is going to end with a SIX on THREE penalty kill for Hershey. 7 seconds left for the Moose to try and convert.

Schneider gets the puck and WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SHOOTING?! Oh my god. The Moose lose 3-2 after a late third period goal. Horrible, horrible game.
