Hey, that’s a pretty good impersonation of a post-game Canucks fan, there Spezza!

Do I have to talk about the Canucks game?

Really?

Okay. There’s a lot of hating, complaining and wringing of hands going on with tonight’s loss. Oh no, we’ve lost two in a row. The end of the world is coming and the Canucks are sinking like the Titanic.

So, I understand mistakes happen and when you’re updating massive websites with tons of overlap in regards to content, the odd mistake will occur.

That said, I found this over on Canucks.com earlier today in their Prospects Central section. I don’t know why, but the juxtapositioning of name and photo made me laugh:

Also, here is an amazing rundown of the Leafs loss to the Canucks:

So the road trip goes on. Despite some late game heroics and a lucky double minor in the latter half of the third period, the Canucks were unable to come from behind yet again against the Montreal Canadiens. Or should I say the Canucks could not find a way to solve Jaroslav Halak and subsequently are STILL without a win in February.

Okay, I may appear to be a little prescient after making my post on Saturday about the Flames and the problems they’re facing right now and compared the current Flames to some past Canucks teams. I mentioned that Sutter’s desire to make a big deal and push the Flames over the top has resulted in him being led astray. As a result, I happen to like this trade for the Flames: it gets rid of one of the Chiefs in Phaneuf and brings in some Indians to round things out and make things more balanced, in terms of scoring, cap hit and the such. Whether the players Sutter has brought in will be the right ‘Indians’ remains to be seen, but I think he’s on the right track here.

That said, who cares about the Flames perspective on things? This is primarily a Canucks blog, so let’s look at the reasons why I love this trade from a Vancouver perspective.

This site is trash! There, I just saved you from making a hilarious joke. I like to blog about hockey, mostly the Canucks. Sometimes I'll write about movies, video games or something else. I am a nerd living in Calgary. See the About page if you want more details!
